Musique à Trois present a feast of vintage and modern Gypsy Jazz, Swing, Tango and French Chansons including the classics:Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Aznavour and many eclectic gems, rearranged in their own special style, including Tom Waits, Dave Brubeck, Leonard Cohen, Melody Gardot, Kirsty McColl, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant … and their own wickedly funny comedy songs. This versatile and very entertaining quartet are just as much at home in a pub, restaurant or private function as they are with their full-throttle theatre shows.
Bethany Jameson, Anglo-Belgian chanteuse on vocals has toured Europe, performed at the Southbank Centre and in the West End, and has been inspired by artists such as Tim Minchin and Fascinating Aida.
Exciting new arrangements from Simon Newton (Guitar) and exceptional musicianship from Simon and Ian Ellis (Sax and Clarinet) and Nick Dyer (Double Bass). Great audience interaction and some participation.
Jameson makes a fine job of the chansons’ – The Times
I rather loved you!’ – Dillie Keane
Musique à Trois are inspirational! We love their shows and their amazing sound. So entertaining, moving and fun.’ – Audience member, Shelley Theatre, Bournemouth

Saturday 14th November, 8.00 p.m. We are back at Shelley Theatre .With special guest Marc Tuddenham (guitar). This full cabaret show complete with the  antics of  “ Madame J ”  will recorded and videoed with a view to adding some live material to the studio tracks we have already recorded for our debut album and creating new promotional material. There will be mics. set up to capture audience participation/singing/applause etc., so if you are able to get along to help out that would be great! Tickets are £10 from the theatre online box office - see gigs page for link.

  • We continue to add new arrangements to our set list. Recent additions include songs by Jacques Brel, Kirsty MacColl, Melody Gardot and Leonard Cohen; an eclectic mix of chansons, Latin and swing tunes!
  • Back in September Beth and Simon had the pleasure of seeing the fantastic La Navet Bete Extravaganza show and joined three of the very talented guys from this contemporary clowning troupe for a “Stupidity Workshop” the following day. They worked us hard, taking us out of our performing comfort zones but it was incredibly inspiring and we came away exhausted but buzzing and with lots of ideas !
  • There is to be a feature on the band in the arts section of the November edition of Dorset Life magazine, due for publication around the 25th of October. Thanks to Nick Churchill for writing the article.
  • We have been asked to provide our details to the organisers of the 2016 Bournemouth Jazz Festival which takes place over the weekend of 22nd- 24th April. The organisers have big plans to make this a bigger and better event than 2015. As you can imagine there will be many local, country-wide and international musicians competing to play at this prestigious event and we will keep our website and Facebook page up to date with news if we are successful in securing a gig.
  • We continue to make inroads into setting up a mini-tour for 2016; thanks to  friends who have provided theatre leads which we are following up.

Please come and say hi if you manage to get along to one of our forthcoming gigs.

C’est tout pour le moment!
